The Vienna U-Bahn is one of the two rapid transit systems for Vienna, Austria, and the other is S-Bahn. Five lines and a total of 98 U-Bahn stations serve the capital of Austria. The Vienna U-Bahn began operation in May 1976 and is considered one of the best public transportation systems worldwide by the International Association of Public Transport in 2009.
